These components are called Blocks
Notion’s core component is the block. While Notion provides you plenty of them to build with, it might not be apparent what to do with them and how to use them as a system
It’s like getting a Lego set without instructions

For now, you don’t have to worry about all of those components
You should know that most of those blocks are actually Databases
By using a system built on databases, we can relate information to each other, adding implied structure
These base infrastructure databases are then organized and presented in an elegant manner to foster and support adoption and practical use of Notion
